108: OWL WEDNESDAY

Hello my pets and my loves,

after a disappointing election, it's nice to get away for a bit and just see life without the politics attached.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in our government (and believe me, it's important to know what's happening out there...) but we can forget to just see life as God has given it to us.

So here's to the little joys that are around and in front of us.

Believe it or not, 

I try not to just post things because they're Owl themed... 

I try to pick things that are either fabulous or ridiculous... 

these little cuties are just kinda adorable and I just couldn't pass them by...

This week we were gifted with the head of an opossum in our garden...
Which was *lovely*
but the interesting thing was, there were no tracks around the head...

we have surmised that a very large owl (which my father has seen around the area)
did some hunting on our land and dropped the *shudder* head off for us.

So gross...
anyway, it's hard to imagine an Owl as a predator when all you think of are these adorable little nick-knacks

I thought that yesterday was Wednesday... and somehow today felt like a Tuesday or Thursday...

OWL WEDNESDAY!

After all of the craziness of the week and of life in general, 

it's nice to get back to just talking about pretty things

and feel reconnected with what I love.

Owl Wednesday

Hello Lovelies :-)

This is my third day of summer break! ahhhhh!

I'm so happy.

and I have started my new exercise routine which i really hope to continue through the whole summer and beyond. I'm alternating doing Pilates and Yoga in the morning.

I ache.

so bad.

but it's a really really good ache! so I'm happy.

On to the OWLS!

Owl Wednesday!!!

Hello my Lovelies!

I'm so excited to be back with you all for our first Owl Wednesday in a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNG time :-)

It's a good day.

I only have two more days to work until I have a little summer break and start scrounging around for another source of income :-D this is very exciting to me though, so I'm not stressed out about it, yet.

and BAM! I'm back!

exciting, I know.... :-)

It's cute, and bright and summer-y and all of that jazz.

this is a pretty little thing,

not overpowering, but still a statement of "I am Owl, hear me hoot"

The owls alternate size, which is nice, I think, to keep it from being too bulky.

I love me some Modcloth.

and I guess one of the things you have to take with it is that it's not always going to be glamour.

which, really... is a nice thing.

this bag is far from glamour. but it's definitely an owl thing.

and for that I will include it in my post. but for not much more. I admire it's color, but really it's a shocking little bag, and hard to style I would imagine.

I look forward to another OW next week and I hope that you guys will too!

I feel like my weeks go by so quickly that I can't keep track of the days.

Owl Wednesday always sneaks up on me.

And it usually waits until supper time to do it.

 Owl objects have been popping up everywhere in my life.

there's a cute "new" shop in the next town over, and it's a vintage resale shop, I saw tons of vintage owl things there! They're just coming out of the wood work! But I love it.

Though, I think Cara said that she doesn't fancy that bag because it's "too owly"... really? is there such a thing? I'm not sure.

Pocket-watch Necklace OF AWESOME!

This watch/necklace is a thing of great beauty!

I mean COME ON!

I love it to death, and I would totally wear it. I know that it's not "owl" anything,

and therefore should technically go on my "favorites Friday" post, but I just couldn't keep this one mum!

Fun story:

I was interpreting yesterday at a middleschool, and I saw this hearing boy start to fingerspell to himself (that's spelling in Sign Language... it's called fingerspelling)... and I watched him for a minute as he slowely spelled out "Y-O-U A-R-E A B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L..." and then he was called away to something else...

but I would love to know who that message was meant for, who was he practicing for? It was adorable and it warmed my heart to see it. :-)

This week has been terribly busy for me,

and I had to write this post yesterday... on "nothing Tuesday"... so that's a disappointment.

 But it's still gotten done.  

I am prepping for a job interview this afternoon at 2:00,

and I pray that it goes well! Please pray for me too,

for favorable results and for me to perform at the top of my skills.

Then, my dear Cara, I hope that you will have finished your book soon,

so that you too can join in our weekly Wednesdays and Fridays.

I am also very excited to talk about our Two Nerd Birds project that is fast approaching,

hopefully we'll have something to show on that point in the next few weeks.
