7. Career Candy

I got exciting news about my job today, news about just exactly how busy I'll be. And it seems that I'll be incredibly busy! What joy. Also my order from Physicians Formula came in and I only ordered on Sunday! I love how quickly they ship. I hope to make a vlog soon reviewing my new mascara. We'll see.
Then working late tonight and now home for Sims3 and relaxing. :-)

Holiday Sunday

Hello all of my dears,

I know that it's been an incredably long time since I've posted anything, and there may be a good reason for that, because as I write this, there are sooo many gramatical and spelling errors that I should just leave. Leave it for another day.
But hey, when the insparation hits, you have to let it flow, right?

In the last two weeks I have had two outfits that made me think of you, thinking "wow, this would really go over well on my blog" but alas, I have not had the time to photograph them. Perhaps when I have the time, I will recreate the outfits and let you all see ;-)

Anyway, Today we set up our Christmas tree, and it's super pretty this year. It's not as tall of a tree as we normally get, but that's what you risk when you pick 'em from your own back yard.

Happy Almost-Christmas!
Yes, I've taken to saying Happy Christmas instead of Merry Christmas.
I'm not sure how I decided this, but today when I was talking to friends at church, it just popped out that way
"Happy Christmas!"
and they were all like
"What? Happy Christmas? Have you gone British on us?"
I suppose I have.

This past week has been a rollercoaster for me, which I'm sure you will have noticed if you follow me on Twitter at all (@TerpLiddy)
I met the guy my sister is trying to set me up with,
Was told of another guy who my co-worker *wants* to set me up with,

and saw my old crush.

Also, it was Thanksgiving.
I think that part was a blessing though, cause I couldn't have dealt with all the emotional ups and downs if I also had to deal with staying "cool" at work.

Expect to see another Owl Wednesday post this week!
and just so you all know, Cara and I are still going with our Two Nerd Birds vlog,
so please check us out and leave comments on our channel!

Owl Wednesday

Today, is actually Wednesday...
Aren't you proud of me for really posting on the day I'm supposed to?
Thanks,
I am too.
:-)
Susan's Necklace
Why is it "Susan's"? Because Susan and Modcloth invented it, or something like that.
I'm not sure.
But I like it because it's a very 'native' print with the fancier owl...
so they 'go'.

Owly thingy-ma-bobber
So for a while, I thought that It was important to say the exact names of the things that I'm referring to on my OW posts, but really... who cares? I put the links below the pictures, and that should be enough... right?
Yeah... I think so too.
So that's what I'm going to do from now on.
who cares about the names?!
I don't.

:-D

Pocket-watch Necklace OF AWESOME!
OH MY GOSH!
This watch/necklace is a thing of great beauty!
I mean COME ON!
I love it to death, and I would totally wear it. I know that it's not "owl" anything,
and therefore should technically go on my "favorites Friday" post, but I just couldn't keep this one mum!

Fun story:
I was interpreting yesterday at a middleschool, and I saw this hearing boy start to fingerspell to himself (that's spelling in Sign Language... it's called fingerspelling)... and I watched him for a minute as he slowely spelled out "Y-O-U A-R-E A B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L..." and then he was called away to something else...
but I would love to know who that message was meant for, who was he practicing for? It was adorable and it warmed my heart to see it. :-)

Happy Wednesday!

Sept 18th of my life.

Hello Darlings,

lets discuss what's been happening lately.

It seems like a month since my vacation. And already I'm ready for another one. :-)

I have a satisfactory number of interpreting jobs this week. I am very pleased and blessed.

Just because I don't have 42 kajillian jobs this week doesn't mean that I won't be busy.

Tomorrow I have an all day job, then at night Cara is coming over for jogging/pilates (we'll just do one of those options... no need to worry about over exercising when I'm involved ;-))

Then Tuesday I have my first ever(!) freelance job, I'm excited about this one because it means that it's the real start of my own adventure. I get/have to do the billing all on my own, and it'll be AMAZING!

ALSO, Tuesday is our third Two Nerd Birds video done by the dear Cara! I can't wait to see what you do with it this week :-D

Tuesday nights I also have been babysitting for some children from church, whom I'm sure you've heard me mention (the three year old from my last post... yeah the one with the Owl jacket!)

Wednesday I will do a "school" job again, for Kindergarten, and I love that age kid, so I expect to have fun there. I just have to remember to wear flats!

Wednesday Night I have our church's Praise Team practice (because occasionally I sing.... yeah.) then after that, another night of jogging with my TNB cohort.

Wednesday... gosh, a lot of things happen on wednesday! But also on that day I have to figure out my Owl Wednesday post!

Thursday is quieter, with only MY TNB POST! Woot woot!

Friday is Favorites Friday here on my blog, and then it's the glorious weekend!

Have you had enough of my little life updates? No?
Then Follow me on Twitter to hear some more through out the week! (@TerpLiddy)

Have a great Monday!

Favorites Friday

Have you noticed how randomly I will end up switching the 'S' from one word to the other in my Favorites Friday blogs? (or is it Favorite Fridays?)...
UGH!

Anyway, I was sorry to hear Cara, via your twitter, that you were having issues uploading your blog photos. :-(
I hope that you do get that all figured out! I'm currently at work, because I was playing Sims 3 this morning and didn't realize that I had to blog. Work here at Baker is incredibly slow in the summer anyway, so no one minds that I blog while I "work". I am just on reception here in the Learning Center, but normally I am available for tutoring appointments. ANYWAY! Enough of the boring stuff!

Today's outfit is really kick-a$$, and I'm excited to show you the pictures later, but my camera is home and I am here, in Muskegon, so that post will have to wait! Maybe I'll even have my mom take pics for me. Cause I just can't do this one justice.

As you may or may not (but I really hope that you have) noticed, I've added a new feature to my Lyd Through Life world, and that is Owl Wednesdays. Yup. A whole day dedicated to owls! This ensures that I will at least post twice a week, and hopefully I will soon get into the habit of blogging my outfits in between those times.

Story time:
This morning I was inspired by the story of my friend (who will remain unnamed) who said that when she got new piercings, she changed her earrings WAY before the allotted time, and she was fine! I was also influenced by the shiny earrings that I had just cleaned, and I wanted to change these darn studs out!

BAD IDEA

I have inherited from my father, the tendency to faint or get woozy when something happens that's tragic. Like when I got my ears pierced, or when he smashed his finger this morning (nothing too bad, so don't worry, but he'll have a black spot on his thumb nail for a while)...

So... I had issues actually un-backing my earrings... so while I played on the computer, I kept pulling at my left one... hoping that I would get it.... Well I did. And I freaked... And I tried to get the other stud in but it wouldn't go through... and I freaked more... and then I finally got my regular stud in, then I couldn't get the back on, because I was shaking... and I was panicking, thinking that I wouldn't be able to get my earring back in, because my ears JUST WEREN'T READY.... and I got really hot, and I had to lay down on the bathroom floor.. and I almost threw up, and I almost fainted.

Yeah, it was traumatic. So as you can imagine... I'm going to wait REALLY REALLY long before I attempt changing them again. Cause that was bad.

PHEW!

I'm glad that's over...
Sorry! I didn't intend to write so much today... but I just felt like a chat.
