fashions
Do you remember back in the day when colored pants were cool?
that was about 6 months ago, and I wanted a pair SOOO bad.
I also wanted skinny jeans.
Thank GOODNESS I didn't buy either of those trends.
I'm not a trend person by nature, but somethings just hit me over the head.
this new Indie thing is really grabbing me like something I could do. I am going to wait a little while though, see if it's really me or if it's the world beguiling me... and while I wait, I'll save up money, cause honey if this is the real thing, then I'm going on a shopping spree!!!

April 19th
Today is no big day, to be sure, but I am feeling inspired.
I got some new makeup yesterday, and I love experimenting with that, so when I got dressed after yoga (that's right, I've started a yoga routine) I decided to pair some fun things.
The new makeup: Wet N Wild, Perfect Pair Eye Wand.
That's an eyeliner at one end, and a complimenting eye shadow at the other, they're really nice and creamy.
I got two kinds, Smoke/Lilac and Java/Champagne.
They're really pretty and I'm wearing the Java/Champagne one right now. But I totally can't wait to try out the Lilac, it looks so pretty, and the eyeshadow is subtle, which is important to me because I don't want to look TOO done-up.
To top it all of, I'm wearing Maybelline's Great Lash "Very Black" mascara. I've tried other brands, and ones that claim to be "non-clumping" or "extra volume" but none of them have worked as well as Maybelline.
What products have you guys found to work?

All in all, plus a pair of wide leg dark wash jeans, that's my outfit for today. Fun but warm and comfortable.

Catch-up
Hello Pet,
So much has happened since I've last posted, but I'll try to summarize for you.
Christmas? Has come and gone. New Years too.
I've dealt with my addiction to shopping and I feel much more free. In fact, I've even reverted back to avoiding clothing shopping.
Clothing Shopping I say, for House shopping is still on my brain.
My sister moved out last year, bought her own house, so now it seems much more possible, to have a house of my own.
I take my independence as I see it, I'm free from tie-downs.
I'm now certified as an interpreter, I'm starting my career. The world is wide open... and I'm unhindered.
It's a good feeling, and a scary feeling. I am doing pretty flexible work, which is nice, to be sure, but it's also frightening because I don't know what I'll be doing 6 months from now. Still working, yes, but will I have the job I want? Will I be able to tie myself down to a school interpreting job like I want?
Everything is open.
I'm also trying to figure out my personal life.
I'm unattached and most days I'm perfectly at ease with this, but then I'll see someone who peaks my interest and I start to long for what I'm missing.
My sister is terribly stubborn and strong. She's given me strength and someone to look up to, because she's single, self supporting, a home owner, and really has her act together on all accounts. I'm going to be like her.
And really, I'm not ever alone.
I have my family, and I have God.
